Moderation

Tools for keeping your server in order. Every moderation command runs the standard Discord permission check shown next to it — Admit doesn't layer its own permission system on top.

/warn user reason Requires: Moderate Members

Issues a warning to a member and sends them a direct message with the reason. reason is required.

/timeout user duration [reason] Requires: Moderate Members

Applies Discord's native timeout to a member. Duration accepts shorthand like 10m, 1h, or 1d.

/kick user [reason] Requires: Kick Members

Removes a member from the server. They can rejoin with a new invite.

/ban user [reason] [delete_days] Requires: Ban Members

Bans a member from the server. delete_days optionally deletes 0–7 days of their recent messages across the server.

/unban user_id [reason] Requires: Ban Members

Lifts a ban using the target's Discord user ID, since a banned user can't be selected by mention.

/purge amount [user] Requires: Manage Messages

Bulk-deletes 1–100 recent messages in the current channel. Optionally limit deletion to messages from one member.

/lock [channel] [reason] Requires: Manage Channels

Locks a channel to read-only. Defaults to the current channel if none is specified.

/unlock [channel] Requires: Manage Channels

Configuration

Server-wide settings, restricted to staff who can manage the server. Most of Admit's behavior can be set up here without touching a dashboard.

/config setup Requires: Manage Server

Opens an interactive setup menu covering the settings below, so you don't have to run each subcommand individually.

/config logs [mod] [members] [messages] [boosts] [commands] Requires: Manage Server

Sets separate log channels for moderation actions, member joins/leaves, message edits or deletions, boost notifications, and command usage.

/config welcome enabled [channel] [message] Requires: Manage Server

Permission levels

Admit checks a member's native Discord permissions for every command that needs one — it doesn't run a separate permission system, so your existing role setup controls who can use what.

  • No requirement — usable by any member who can see the channel.
  • Moderate Members / Kick Members / Ban Members / Manage Messages / Manage Channels / Manage Roles / Manage Nicknames — standard Discord permissions, assignable to any role from your server's Roles settings.
  • Manage Server — typically limited to senior staff or admins, since these commands affect server-wide configuration or run on behalf of the server.
  • Premium — requires an active Premium license for the server, activated with /premium activate.
